This beautiful antique Victorian Scottish Silver knot brooch is Circa 1860.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.
The wonderful brooch is adorned with beautiful Agates inlaid in a beautiful engraved Scottish knot gallery.
Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.
Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.
The brooch is all set in Silver and fitted with a secure pin and C-catch.
This is a wonderful collectable Scottish piece that’s steeped in history and looks fabulous when worn.
