A sweet antique Victorian mourning bracelet from the mid-1800s featuring two matching heart charms encrusted with turquoise and fitted with secret lockets on the back.
The matching hearts represent two people who were very special to the original owner and contain strands of their hair preserved behind each locket. Turquoise was often associated with forget me nots due to their similar colouring and have been used here to represent undying love and remembrance.
The band is made up of scaly snake links which slither and articulate fluidly. They’re fashioned in 18ct gold with a concealed box clasp hidden at the side.
It’s a beloved piece, in excellent condition and conveys a timeless reminder to cherish those we love most.
